Description
These butcher block countertops are made in the USA by John Boos & Co. They feature American Cherry, known for its pink to reddish-brown hues, plus streaks of pale yellow. Cherry wood starts out a bit pale, but darkens over time. Edge-grain butcher blocks are constructed using wood strips that run the full length of the butcher block, leaving clean, parallel seam lines and no unsightly joints. These particular counter tops are 2-1/4 inches thick, 38 inches wide, 60 inches long, and finished with Varnique – a semi-gloss, varnish-like finish that provides a fine-furniture look and requires little maintenance, but which should not be directly cut upon.
